한국형 발사체 '누리호' 발사 성공 - 세계 7번째 본문
자체 개발한 '누리호(Nuri rocket)'의 성공적인 궤도 진입으로 한국도 우주 프로그램에 중요한 발걸음을 시작했다.
한국항공우주연구원(KARI)에 따르면, 길이 47미터, 무게 200톤이 넘는 3단 로켓이 나로우주센터(Naro Space Center)에서 발사되었다.

한국은 1톤 이상의 인공위성을 탑재할 수 있는 우주발사체를 개발한 나라들인 러시아, 미국, 유럽연합, 중국, 일본, 인도에 이어 세계 7번째이다.
한편 "세계 10위의 경제 대국인 한국은 반도체, 자동차, 스마트폰의 주요 생산국이지만, 우주 개발 프로그램은 아시아 이웃 국가인 중국, 인도, 일본에 비해 뒤처져 있었다."는 점도 주목했다.
