사실 스마트폰으로 성화를 올려 최근 선거의 정당성에 의문을 제기하는 벨로루시 주민들과 연대하는 모습을 보인 이 소녀의 친숙한 포즈는 훨씬 더 거슬러 올라간다. 원형 자세는 수천 년 전, 처음에는 사랑, 정의, 정치력의 수메르 여신 이난나(아시리아인들은 이스타로 알려져 있다)와 연관돼 보인다. 예술과 투쟁의 역사에서 수많은 영감을 주는 상징적인 자세를 취하고 있는 이난나의 테라코타는 현재 루브르 박물관에 전시되어 있다.
