코로나바이러스: 사진 공모전에 포착된 봉쇄 기간의 (삶의)표정들

코로나 유행이 오래 지속되면서 그 이전으로 돌아갈 수 없을 것이라고 하고, 이제 우리는 "뉴 노멀"에 대비해야 한다는 이야기가 들린다. 아래 사진들은 지난 8개월의 삶을 담고 있다.

UB40과 함께 동영상에 담아지기 위해 250개 이상의 출품작 중에서 20장의 봉쇄기간 동안 삶의 사진들이 선택되었다.

2020년 공모전의 우승 이미지는 인적이 드문 왕복 2차선 도로(잭 크룩)가 선정되었다.

심사위원으로는 버밍엄 레게 밴드의 로빈 캠벨과 얼 팔콘거, 시의회 의장 이언 워드, 웨스트 미들랜드 시장 앤디 스트리트 등이 참여했다.
그 사진들은 규제가 완화되기 전에 찍혔다.
이 대회는 지역사회 주도의 협력을 운영하고 사회적 가치를 전달하는 데 도움을 주는 단체인 People Matters Network에 의해 촉진되었다.

1978년 버밍엄에서 결성된 UB40은 당시 실업급여를 주장하기 위해 사람들이 사용한 양식의 이름을 따서 그들 이름을 지었다.

20장의 사진은 버밍엄 공중보건국장, 저스틴 바니 박사, BBC 미드랜즈 투데이 진행자 니콜라 벡포드, BBC 뉴스 웹사이트의 레베카 우즈 등 심사위원들의 도움을 받아 선정되었다.

버밍엄에서 올해 말에 전시회가 계획되었다.

Essential travel during the first week of lockdown was reflected in the photo in eighth place

 

Julia Moyse's entry was placed ninth

 

The photo in 10th place was described as a "riot of colour in Haden Hill Park" in Cradley Heath
